Pink

Thanks so much to Robin at Bittersweet Punkin who graciously passed along the "Nice Matters" award to me today. It's always a let down after our daughter returns to college, so what a nice surprise when I had the chance to catch up on my surfing, er. . . . very important research. And if you haven't had a chance already to check out Robin's fun little piece of blog-land, then run on over there--she always has something that is interesting, creative, inspiring, or just plain fun. And the very best thing about Robin, aside from the fact that she's really nice, is that she owns a PINK Dyson vacuum cleaner. I just might be vacuuming my house this very minute if I had a pink vacuum cleaner. I just might even be vacuuming my neighbor's house if I had a pink vacuum cleaner. Sadly, my dowdy old gray vacuum cleaner hasn't come out of the closet in quite a while; mostly because I've run out of duct tape to hold it together. But if I had any tape, it would be pink.

So I'd like to pass along the Nice Matters Award to others who may or may not own a pink Dyson vacuum cleaner. The first nominee is Debbie at In the Onion Patch. She makes the sweetest little mice! You've gotta check them out on her blog. And, she's really nice.
And the second nominee is Bebe at Peaches and Dreams, a fellow Georgia gal. She often features posts about artists and museums, or other interesting tidbits; and she happens to be super nice too.

[Okay, I'll come clean :-) All the duct tape in the world couldn't have fixed our old vac, so my dearest bought a new one a couple of weeks ago. Alas, it's just a plain, drab, boring ole beige. But I'm off to find pink duct tape.]

LOL...I have a dear neighbor that I just love and after my vacuum died right before Christmas I considered borrowing hers but didn't...now I'm thinking if she ever needed to borrow MINE I might have to insist that I go with and HELP her!!

Thanks for the kind words...I really enjoying visiting you!
Hugs,
Robin

Hi Cathy, just popped over from Lilly Cottage to tell you you won a special treasure in our giveaway, woohoo!! Pop over and visit and leave us your snailmail address so we can send you your treasure. Have a simply wonderful day Linda and Laura Lilly Cottage ps I have a red vacuum cleaner, it doesn't go any faster however but am hoping one day it shall fade to a nice pink...perhaps I should leave it out in the sun for a bit and oh then wouldn't the neighbours think I had well and truly lost the plot! Kiss noises Linda

oh my goodness...I never knew there were such colors to choose from.
It is always bitter/sweet to watch our children leave....even when they are being responsible in seeking their future. I am glad you had a "smile" to lift your day.

Bless your heart, Cathy!! I was tickled "pink" when I read I'd won the award!! You were so sweet and kind to think of me ~ I just cried when I read your post. I got so emotional, because it was so nice to be thought of as "nice"!! :)

I am delighted...overwhelmed....humbled....appreciative....gosh darn, it I'm just plain old happy!!! You have made my week, girl!!! Thank you so, so much!!! :)

I thought I was the only one who had duct tape on the vacuum cleaner, but now I know there are others who clean in maligned silence! A pink vacuum? I've got to have one!!!

Thanks again for my award ~ many hugs to you, sweet friend!!!

Bebe :)

......still doing the happy dance....still grinning!
